It's about to get busy.

A few months ago, a good friend of mine decided to enter in Targa High Country. He asked me to be his co-driver, and of course I accepted. This event will be our first rally event as competitors, so I can say I am very excited about this. We have entered in regularity, which we believed to be a good way to start competitive rallying.

As this is our first event we are starting from scratch. At this point all we have is the car, race licences and a few little items around the house. Thanks to MRT I was able get to the opportunity to learn all about the service side of rallying in the last 2 years. I am able to apply the knowledge I learnt in the past two years to prepare for this event.

The first time my friend and I tired pace notes, when the idea of me being a co-driver popped into my head. Learnt a lot that day but we realised there was much more to learn. Got to start somewhere!

We spent much of last weekend coming up with a list of things to do and things to buy. It will be busy in the next few months with not only the targa to look forward to but I will also be service crew at WRC Rally Australia, World Time Attack Challenge, Rally Victoria and possibly the Alpine Rally.
